Because one team handles pickup, consolidation, the crossing and delivery, you get one quote and one point of contact from your US dock to the Mexican destination, instead of a carrier on each side of the border and a separate customs contact in between. When a question comes up anywhere on the lane, you ask it once.

How a shipment moves from your dock to Mexico

1. Classification and landed-cost quote. You send the commercial invoice and product details. We classify each product under Mexico's tariff schedule and tell you the duty, IVA and fees before anything moves. If a product needs a permit, a NOM certificate or a sector registry, you find out at this step, not at the border.

2. Pickup and linehaul. We collect from your US origin, or you deliver to our Laredo warehouse.

3. Consolidation. At our Laredo warehouse, partial loads are consolidated so they cross the border as one shipment.

4. Crossing and clearance. The freight crosses from Laredo to Nuevo Laredo. The licensed broker files the pedimento, duties and taxes are paid, and the shipment goes through customs review.

5. Delivery or storage. We deliver to your customer or warehouse anywhere in Mexico, or hold inventory at Monterrey for fulfillment.

From our Laredo warehouse to central Mexico takes one to two business days when documentation is complete. Border clearance, not driving distance, is the variable, which is why most of the work happens before the truck leaves.

Mexican import rules that apply in 2026

Importer of record. Mexico requires the importer of record to be a registered Mexican taxpayer with an RFC and an active listing in the importer registry (Padrón de Importadores). Goods listed in Annex 10 of Mexico's foreign trade rules, textiles among them, also require the sector-specific registry.

Electronic value declaration. From 1 October 2026 the customs value declaration (Manifestación de Valor) must be transmitted electronically through Mexico's single window, VUTCE. The values on your invoice, the declaration and the pedimento have to match, so a clean invoice matters more than before.

Duty. Goods that qualify under USMCA and carry a valid certification of origin generally enter duty-free. Goods from countries without a trade agreement with Mexico, China among them, face rates of 5 to 50 percent on about 1,648 tariff lines under the decree in force since 1 January 2026.

Taxes and fees. Import IVA is 16 percent. The customs processing fee (DTA) is 8 per thousand of the customs value with a minimum of 462 pesos per entry.

What makes this different

Most providers cover one side of the border and hand your shipment to a partner at the crossing. That handoff is where information is lost and where delays begin: the carrier on the US side does not know what the broker on the Mexican side needs, and the question comes back to you after the truck is already waiting. We hold both sides: a warehouse in Laredo, a warehouse in Monterrey, and a single file that follows your freight through clearance. When something needs a decision at the border, the person making it already has your invoice, your classification and your delivery address, so it gets decided in minutes instead of days.

What it costs

Pricing depends on four things: volume and weight, whether you need LTL or a full trailer, the HS classification of your goods, and whether the goods qualify under USMCA. We quote each line separately (freight, brokerage, duty, IVA) so you can compare us honestly against anyone else.

Some costs are charged per entry rather than per unit, such as the DTA minimum of 462 pesos and the broker's fee. That is why consolidation matters: three partial shipments filed as three entries pay those fixed costs three times, while the same freight consolidated at Laredo and filed as one entry pays them once. How to prepare your first shipment

• A commercial invoice with a full description of each product, unit values and quantities
• A packing list that matches the invoice line by line
• A USMCA certification of origin if you claim preferential treatment
• Product details for regulated items: ingredients, materials, technical specifications, existing certificates
• The importer of record's RFC and importer registry status

Send these before pickup. The most common cause of a held shipment is a mismatch between the invoice, the packing list and what is actually on the pallet, and it is the easiest one to prevent: checking the three against each other at your dock before pickup removes it. Every question answered at this stage is a day not lost at the border.
