LTL vs. FTL: which do you need
- LTL — smaller shipments (a few pallets), priced by weight and space, consolidated with other freight
- FTL — a full trailer dedicated to one shipment, typically faster and with fewer handling touches
- Both clear Mexican customs the same way: HS classification, pedimento, and the electronic value manifest, filed by our own licensed broker
Why consolidation matters at the border
An LTL shipment that crosses as part of a poorly organized consolidation can get held up when paperwork doesn't match what's physically in the trailer. We consolidate and prepare the customs file at our Laredo warehouse before crossing, so the pedimento matches the load exactly.
