Mexican law requires a licensed customs broker to file the pedimento for commercial imports. BringGo Ship works with its own licensed Mexican customs broker rather than subcontracting clearance to a third party, so classification, valuation and filing all sit with the same team that moves your freight.
What the broker does
- Determines the HS classification, which sets the duty rate and any permit or NOM requirement
- Prepares and files the pedimento, the legal record of your import
- Files the Manifestación de Valor electronically — mandatory through the single window since August 1, 2026
- Calculates duty, IVA and the customs processing fee (DTA)
- Retains the documentation you will need in any later audit
